Inception: 1948

Andreas Romanos Joined the operation department, as Junior specialist, in a pioneer Shipping Agency at Patras port, which mainly handled the vessels suppling Greece with the “Marshall plan" aid, after the great cost of World War II

1950-1967

Andreas Romanos Joined and operated as a senior specialist in a new, reliable, and customer-focused port agency, founded by a group of experienced professionals who recognized the need for comprehensive and efficient services in the maritime sector.

1968-1986

Romanos and his partners are reorganizing the company, building Strong Partnerships, with major shipping companies, port authorities, and industry stakeholders. These collaborations allowed the agency to gain valuable insights, enhance its expertise, and foster long-term relationships with clients.

1986-1995

Romanos Spyros, son of Andreas joined the company, groomed and trained from his father, for almost a decade, to take on key roles within the company, imparting his knowledge and ensuring a seamless transition of leadership.

1996-2021

The torch officially passed to Spyros Romanos, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the family business into the future.

Building upon the foundation laid by his father, Spyros brought fresh ideas and a modern perspective to operations, converting Romanos Shipping Agency to a trusted and leading shipping and port Agency.

2022

In July 2022, Romanos Spyros, made the strategic decision to convert Romanos Shipping Agencies, into an anonymous joint-stock company, Under the title Romanos Agencies S.A., marking a new chapter in the company's evolution. In the same year Angeliki Romanou, daughter of Spyros joined in, enriching the company with her innovating spirit.

With this transition Romanos Agencies S.A., expanded its reach and attracted new investors, fostering further growth, and enabling the company to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Building upon the foundation laid by his father, Spyros continued to lead Romanos Agencies S.A., as its President and CEO, steering the company with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

2023 and Looking Ahead
